Powerful Air Blow-off Before Powder Coating Saves Energy and Improves Quality
Powder Coating paint processes are widely used on metal parts to for corrosion protection and to give the product a beautiful and colorful appearance. Almost all metal products from appliances, washers, dryers, and refrigerators, to motorcycles, furniture, shelving units, tools, toys, and countless other items are powder coated. The process of adding powdered paint to a metal surface requires a very clean metal surface. The metal parts travel through a parts washer and pretreatment system which cleans and prepares the metal for powder paint. After washing the part must be thoroughly dried, usually in an oven, before the paint is applied. By adding a Maxumizer® Air Blower with large Nozzle Bar® Air Devices to the end of their pretreatment system, one major manufacturer reduced drips, water stains, and rust that formed in the oven from large puddles of rinse water on the parts.
The Result:
Maxum Air Blow-off not only improved the powder paint quality, it allowed the customer to reduce their drying oven temperature which saved energy and increased production output.
