Our customer regularly uses a quench oil to cool and lubricate baskets and bins filled with metal parts immediately following the heat treatment oven. The excess oil continues to drip from the parts and bins and creates quite a mess.
The temperature of these parts can be well over 1000 degrees F, so Maxum prepared special high temperature Nozzle Bar® Air Devices operating with a Maxumizer® Dual Head Air Blower system to blow-off the bulk of the quench oil so it could be re-captured and returned to the process tank.
The Result
Maxum Air Blow-off allowed the customer to recapture the expensive quench oil wasted, and dramatically reduced the mess from dripping oil on the production floor.
