When a major diesel generator manufacturer required a precision parts washer for massive engine blocks, it presented a real challenge: cleaning and drying the huge cavities inside motors with as many as 16 cylinders is not a standard industrial parts drying problem. Demand for these generators is growing fast, and production quality had to keep pace.
The Maxum Solution for Advanced Industrial Blow-Off Drying Systems
Maxum was selected to provide high-velocity Maxumizer® Air Blowers for this innovative new machine. The system incorporated a halo of Nozzle Bar® Air Knives and a large array of Maxumizer® Air Nozzles working together to deliver strong, effective blow-off deep into the large diesel engine cavities.
The combination of Nozzle Bar® Air Knives and Maxumizer® Air Nozzles gave the machine the coverage and concentrated force needed to reach recessed areas inside massive engine blocks, surfaces that standard air knives cannot effectively reach.
The Result
Quality air blow-off was achieved across the full engine block cavity, meeting the precision cleaning standards required for generator production. The customer is now evaluating several additional machines to keep up with growing demand.
