Beer Case Can Blow-off Success Story

Beer & Soda makers have big problems with wet cardboard cases

A long-time American beer manufacturer had recurring complaints from distributors about wet cardboard cases falling apart during transportation.

Beer, Soda, and Beverage cans get wet during filling, washing, and rinsing. They also get wet from surface condensation that forms on the product in the plant.

Moisture is always around bottling and canning operations. Some products also require pasteurizing and cooling sprays, which introduce even more possibilities for wet containers. If this moisture is not removed, the cardboard cases get wet, which makes them weak, and creates real issues for both distributors and the end customer.

Maxum provided a high velocity blow-off system using our patented Nozzle Bar® Air Devices, which not only removed the moisture from the cans themselves but even cleaned much of the built-up residue on the conveyor belt itself.

THE RESULT

Maxum Air Blow-off Equipment dramatically improved the subsequent cardboard packaging operations which made distributors and customers very happy.
