Asphalt Shingle Lines Improve Operations Using Maxumizer® Air Knives for Blow-off
Continuous Asphalt Shingle lines increase production using cooling water sprays on the continuous hot asphalt strip as part of normal production.
Excess moisture from these cooling sprays must be removed prior to packaging to prevent the formation of mold and to ensure the moisture does not otherwise damage the packaging materials.
Multiple air knives are installed between the strip lines to blow-off the excess moisture from the surfaces of the wide and fast-moving asphalt strip, to dry it prior to cutting and packaging the shingle products.

Maxumizer® Air Knives successfully remove the excess moisture, resulting in improved quality and faster production speed.
